Air on R.fm - The Finest Blend of Club Culture
Air
blog_air

Air are the French popduo Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin who had their breakthrough back in 1998 with genre-defining classic, “Moon Safari” - a benchmark in electronic pop.
Air has been called modernists and each album has been a move away from the last and a journey towards something else. Their music is intellectually stimulating yet intuitively simple; elegiac and triumphal; beyond pop and yet resolutely of it, too. Despite their organic approach, they have been embracing the joys of modern technology, seeing it as the tool that it is rather than the straitjacket it often becomes. Or as Jean-Benoit claims: “You can’t fight against the future.”
