Crookers

Crookers are dj Phra and Bot; two Italian dj’s/producers who met in 2003 and soon got to work together as they had the same tastes and a similar musical background. Both had been producing and djing on their own before creating the Crookers team. Bot grew up with synths, turntables and sequencers while Phra started djing and then was introduced to the Italian Hip Hop scene as an Mc. Athe hip-hop influences are mixed up in their sets with the special add of their sounds done with the popular MPC sampler. After their breakthrough with the Day ‘N’ Nite single they have become an extremely sought after remix team with work for artists such as Fever Ray, The Chemical Brothers, Tiga and Diplo.

Directed by Mattias Erik Johansson and Henrik Qvarnström. The idea with the hunting theme was to stir up some thoughts around life and death, meat consumption and hypocrisy or just to piss people off which seems to be most people’s first reaction according to the directors. Track released in 2009 on Norman Cook’s (Fatboy Slim) Southern Fried Records.
