Jesse Somfay
Canadian producer Jesse Somfay combines his techno minimal background with spacious ambient melodies, and focuses on communicating specific moods and textures, rather than pounding the dance floor. With low bit synthesizers as in “Faberge,” and faraway string and vibe sections, each of his extensive musical voyages projects an image. Worthy of a place among Boards of Canada, Minotaur Shock, and the Warp Records crew, Jesse Somfay’s releases can be found at Montreal-based label Archipel.
