DJ, producer and label owner Sharam Jey is from Cologne, Germany. His career seriously took off when his remix of Energy 52’s anthem Café Del Mar was voted “Best Dance Track Of All Time” in Mixmag (1997). Sharam went on to remix the likes of Moby, Mylo, Faith No More, Faithless, Salt N Pepa, Warren G and loads more. This is in addition to over 50 own releases on labels like Underwater Records, Hooj Choons, Airtight and many more.

In early 2001 he decided to create King Kong Records – a platform mainly for his own music but with plenty of help from remixers such as Phonique, Zoo Brazil, Wally Lopez, The Glimmers,

Alex Metric, Play Paul and Martin Buttrich.
